Biography
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and a Master's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety. Supported by a scholarship from the Republic of Türkiye, I completed my PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Reading, UK. My doctoral research focused on platelet function, with a particular emphasis on developing and evaluating rapid tests using microfluidics technology to advance the epidemiological understanding of cardiovascular health and disease. As part of this research, I designed and OSHWA-certified the Imaging Rig for Microfluidic Blood Analysis (Robotic Microfluidic System (RMS)), an open hardware device aimed at providing accessible and cost-effective diagnostic solutions.
